The Faces of #FiverrConnections: Juliet, Content Strategist & Fiverr Buyer

Never was a story of more “whoa!” than this of Juliet and how she made her business grow. Sorry, couldn’t help ourselves. Back in Shakespeare’s day, a leading lady was made to wait around for her Romeo. But our modern heroine was on the hunt for affordable freelance talent to get her brand off the ground. And so Juliet Dachowitz found Fiverr, which by any other name would be just as sweet—and now you might see her face on a New York City street!

Read on to find out how Juliet created her own dream job, what inspires her, and why she’s the perfect “role model” for our #FiverrConnections campaign.

Tell us a little about you. Who you are, where you’re from, what you do.

Hi guys, I’m Juliet Dachowitz. I run creative and content marketing at Knotel, a high-growth real estate startup. I hail from Long Island, wear my Jew-fro with pride, and am surprisingly well-adjusted—or so I like to think!

What drives you? Why do you do what you do?

I’m usually just trying to make people laugh. I’m relentless. But it’s endearing (or so I’ve been told).

How have Fiverr connections and freelance services helped accelerate your career?

When our business was just starting, having affordable resources available to bring ideas to life visually was critical in moving our brand forward. It wasn’t about perfection, it was about being able to test ideas, execute quickly, and learn from our mistakes. I couldn’t have focused on ideation and strategy without Fiverr to execute the vision.

Since I’m currently working in the office space business, I spend all day every day discussing the future of work. What I’ve learned? There are no rules, and everything that is in fashion now has been in fashion before (and won’t be soon). Affordable freelance talent lets me keep making my own rules, and I think the desire for that freedom is timeless.

Do you have any favorite Gigs or go-to sellers?

Don’t make me pick just one! I’d like all future artists I engage with to be vying for top seller of my heart.

What advice do you have for first-time Fiverr buyers?

When I first started using Fiverr, I fell down a rabbit hole of seller searches. I was paralyzed by the abundance of choices and put off actually submitting a project for weeks. My advice is don’t be indecisive. And don’t be afraid to start a conversation with a seller if you aren’t sure they’re a fit. It’s much more helpful than just looking at a portfolio – and most sellers are happy to answer all your questions thoughtfully. It makes deciding on one much easier.

Why is it important for creative-thinking decision makers to collaborate?

Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t believe creativity happens in a vacuum, or by locking up your wittiest writer in a room with a whiteboard, hoping a lightbulb suddenly turns on. There is no inspiration without the influence of others, whether they be your coworkers, your friends, or your favorite TV show/book/movie characters. Fiverr provides access to a wealth of creative minds so that there’s no opportunity for you to delude yourself into thinking your first idea was “the one.”

What are your business goals? What do you want to *do* next?

I wanted to be a lawyer when I grew up. Spoiler alert—I’m not, and it’s worked out okay. Moral of the story: I don’t have any set-in-stone goals, I just want to keep doing what I enjoy. And obviously writing the great American novel someday.

What is it like to be a Fiverr poster girl—literally?

As the current child of a former stage mom, Fiverr made my mom’s dreams come true, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
