Ermir, aka videosketch on Fiverr, developed his love of art from an early age. Like many of our users, he did freelance work elsewhere prior to finding a home on Fiverr. Check out his story below and his tips for newbies on how to succeed.
Who is Videosketch?
My name is Ermir and I was born to Berat/Albania in 1986. My passion for art started in childhood, and I followed these interests into my schooling. In 2005 I graduated from the School of the Arts and in 2010 I graduated from the University for Restoration and Works of Art Conservation.
How’d you hear about Fiverr?
I’d done various freelance graphic projects over the past seven years. Then one day a friend of mine told me about Fiverr so I decided to open an account. In my first month I earned $200!
I wanted to open a special Gig, a truly unique Gig that’s never been seen on Fiverr.
So I decided to do my video intro with plasticine (which is like soft modeling and molding material). The second month I closed at over $700 and still had more orders coming in!
What impact has Fiverr had on your life?
Now, I am working in Fiverr all the time, and my video animation ability has really improved. All of my Gigs are unique, and closer to a traditional style of animation. Currently, my favorite project is a 3D drawing Gig.
What advice would you give to a new seller on Fiverr?
My advice to the new members on Fiverr is to be yourself and be original. Before Fiverr, I was forced to do different jobs that didn’t pay much. Now I have my own job and am very grateful to staff at Fiverr who are working so hard for all of that.
