Based in New York City, Mashfeed provides a free iOS app that lets users create and share their own collections of favorite feeds from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
“Mashfeed is the epitome of a close-knit startup working under a bootstrapped budget,” says company CEO Adam Mashaal. The company’s growth has been amazing over the past year, with a community fully embracing the concept of curating and sharing their favorite feeds with one another. Yet the Mashfeed team is still composed of just Adam, two content and community managers, and two developers. Typical of small companies working under a tight budget, they all wear a variety of hats, which makes it hard to get everything done.
Explains Adam, “As a startup founder, there are only so many hours in the day to accomplish what I need to do. I was recently up against a tight deadline and needed to have a website quickly coded and deployed. A friend of mine in the startup space recommended I check out Fiverr. What I found was a countless number of sellers specializing in exactly what I was looking to accomplish. After sifting through the buyer reviews for some of the most popular sellers, I landed on a seller that I felt most comfortable with. And since the pricing model was really flexible, I was able to start a project without much of a commitment.
Adam also noted that “Fiverr is an amazing resource for anyone in the startup space who may need some extra assistance from time to time. Between the variety of qualified sellers and the affordable pricing, it’s basically a no-brainer for anyone who needs to get things done quickly and on a tight budget.”
