Holiday Business Tips from Three Fiverr Super Sellers

If you’re a business owner, the holiday season is the perfect time to find creative, festive ways to connect with your customers.

Here are a few tips from Fiverr® sellers about how to use the holidays to your advantage.

1. Are you launching a service for the holiday season?
Maybe it’s an original, holiday-specific service, or maybe it’s just a holiday rebrand of a previous or existing Gig®. If it’s the latter, keep in mind that you can easily brand it back after the season and still achieve sales on it all year round. If you don’t rebrand and use an old seasonal service, keep in mind that previous feedback might deter sales. This is because the buyer feedback could come up as being almost a year old, making the service look outdated. If you created a new service, it would be fresh with no inactive feedback. If you rebranded an older Gig, you have plenty of new, consistent feedback to work from.

2. The three keys.
In my mind, there are three ways Fiverr sellers can position their services around the holidays:

a) Gifts
b) Seasonal business materials (e.g., holiday flyers/brochures)
c) Business rebranding for the holidays (e.g., Adding a Christmas element to a previous business logo).

So if you’re advertising your services on Fiverr for the holidays, it’s probably wise to concentrate on one of these areas, choosing the one that bests suits your service.

3. Categorization is very important for holiday sales.
If you’re offering a gift, be sure to list it within any special categories Fiverr provides (Halloween, Christmas, etc.). However, if you’re offering a seasonable business service, it may be wise to list within that business category.

A business is probably more likely to come across it within a business-based category (where they are already looking) as opposed to a business service in a category meant for gifts.

1. Almost all businesses run holiday specials.
Whether it’s a Black Friday sale or Day After Christmas sale. Catering a holiday-themed Gig is a great way to ensure sales.

All you need is a little bit of holiday creativity to stand out from the crowd and get noticed by potential buyers.

2. Another great option is catering toward holiday parties.
There are so many different creative options you can offer as a seller to help people create a memorable holiday party!

My tip: give back!
After all, the holidays are joyful times of giving. It’s a good idea to put together a list of buyers, and give back or pay it forward by:

1. Sending them a holiday greeting!
Wish them a happy holiday season, and if they’re a loyal, repeat buyer, thank them for trusting you with their business.

2. Offering them a holiday freebie!
It can be a Gig Extra, or even two. The idea is to get an order placed, and give your buyer a freebie on top of it.

Between giving back for the holidays and offering top-notch quality service 365 days a year, you’ll surely get repeat business and increased traffic during the holiday season.
