Don’t judge Antonio, aka Hitsongwriter, by his Fiverr username. While he can help write you a hit song, he is also a life coach. Providing inspiration, career advice, relationship advice and an open mind, Antonio finds motivation in his ability to connect with his global clientele, and give them the reassurance they need. Here’s Antonio’s Fiverr story:
Tell us a little about yourself. Who you are, where you’re from, what you do on Fiverr.
Hello my name is Antonio and I bring you greetings from Clinton, Mississippi. I am user Hitsongwriter and I operate as a life coach via Fiverr. I provide self-help, relationship advice, career advice, conflict/resolution, or simply offer a listening/reassuring ear. Since I was a child I was always told that I give great advice. I learned that if you do not go after what you want, you will never have it. If you do not ask, the answer will always be no. And if do not step forward, you will always be in the same place. I’ve always loved when people open up to me, because I honor it. Especially in a time where trust and empathy are hard to come by. I learned that the path in life isn’t a straight line; it’s a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths. I use a solution-focused approach and let my clients know that “discouragement” simply means defeat of the mind. As I grew older, I began to relish in the fact that I had an extraordinary gift of communicating with and understanding other people. When the time came to decide on a college major, naturally I chose Counseling. My grandparents were old school and always believed in doing the right thing and inspiring others. Therefore, I was conditioned to do what I do and touch people’s lives.
How did you get into providing career/relationship/self-help advice?
I have always been intrigued by humanistic tendencies and behavior implications. I learned early in life that people respond to situations based on what’s true to their own feelings. And since we as human are emotional beings, it’s only natural that sometimes our emotions lead us into dark places and become our deciding factor. But that which has been decided, can be re-decided. And we can ultimately find our true direction.
How did you hear about Fiverr? What inspired you to create your Gigs?
I initially found Fiverr by researching and educating myself on building bridges to reach my goals. I was inspired by the many people who came back to simply say “Thank you, you’ve changed my life,” and that’s far more inspiration than I can ever ask for.
How have your advising skills grown since joining Fiverr?
Joining Fiverr and working with a diversified group of clients around the world has truly enlightened me. No matter what their personal concerns are, I always advise my clients to, “pay attention to the good that comes out of every bad situation.” Altering our attitudes about our problems can also become our very solution.
Can you share some of your favorite project you’ve worked on?
I would give all of my clients an A+. It takes a courageous individual to acknowledge that one needs help. And that, in itself, automatically gives each of my clients a winning score. I understand that opening up is scary, but I’m with them all the way. Whether it be self-esteem issues, resentment, bad habits, or broken relationships, I’m there.
What advice would you give to a newcomer on Fiverr looking to achieve success?
Always be mindful of your “impressionistic tendencies!” Our impressionistic tendency is how we come off to other people. Give positive energy and treat customers with dignity and respect.
What impact has Fiverr had on your life? Has it changed the way you think about your profession or career?
Currently, I work as a specialist for a newly implemented program called, “Gateway to College.” My aim is to motivate and empower students to take initiative in their lives and strive to be greater. Fiverr has been a valuable resource in perfecting my strategies and planning techniques.
