With more than 3 million Gigs (and growing!) available on Fiverr®, we think it’s essential that buyers are able to quickly find exactly what they are looking for, faster than ever.
The addition of metadata fields make it easier for buyers to find the most accurate results for their searches, and help sellers increase their Gig® exposure and ultimately their conversion rates by greatly improving the relevancy of search results.
Metadata are easy for both buyers and sellers to use. Sellers select the fields that most closely reflect the service being provided when they first publish or edit their Gig. This way, the buyer automatically sees relevant results when searching for Gigs on Fiverr.
As we continue to improve this system, we’ll roll out advanced search options to all of our categories across the board.
A New and Improved Programming & Tech Category
Metadata has now been rolled out in the Programming & Tech category, which has some of the widest variety and most popular Gigs available on Fiverr. The category page has a completely new look.
With subcategories such as User Testing, WordPress, Support & IT, Convert Files and more, buyers who are looking for your service can better find you. You can define each Gig’s individual properties with keywords. Some subcategories, like User Testing, offer precise search filters such as: device, language, age, and so on. This is extremely valuable for buyers who have created a new product or app and want to test how user friendly it is.
Using metadata, you’ll be able to further target your audience by defining specific tasks with in your field. So sellers, go ahead and define your Metadata fields so that you can more easily be found by the right potential customers. Buyers, try searching for exactly what you’re looking for and instantly find great services for yourself and your business!
Keep your eyes open, as we are constantly rolling out new and improved features and some more exciting developments are in the works!
