In Doers We Trust: Prabhjit’s Buyer Success Story

We at Fiverr believe in taking action. So we knew we wanted Fiverr community members to be the faces of our Year of Do campaign since real-life role models make the best models. We flew in real Fiverr buyers and sellers for a two-day photo shoot with world-famous photographer Platon. Now you can see the results in our out-of-home ads in San Francisco, New York, and Washington, DC!

That’s where Prabhjit Singh comes in: avid entrepreneur, Fiverr buyer, proud DC resident, and one of the faces of our In Doers We Trust campaign. Find out what makes Prabhjit tick as an entrepreneur in the interview below, and then head to our Insta Stories to learn his tips on how to build a million-dollar business!

Tell us a little about you. Who you are, where you’re from, what you do.

My name is Prabhjit Singh and I absolutely love life! I enjoy helping others build businesses which allow them to create more personal and financial freedom in their life!

I got my business and management degree from Johns Hopkins University. As soon as I got my degree, I opened up my first business and have since become a serial entrepreneur. I really enjoy taking an idea all the way to a full-blown company that is making seven figures.

You’re a multipreneur, to say the least. Tell us about some of your (many) businesses.

I like to call myself a serial entrepreneur. I currently own a real estate brokerage named Naaam Real Estate, a real estate school named Rempower, and I’m also developing a social media website for real estate agents to refer business to one another. On top of that, I’m an independent consultant for Arbonne, I own an insurance company, and have multiple online companies that I own.

I am most proud of being a real estate and business coach. I love teaching and coaching others to have the same amount or more success than I am having starting a company!

I want others to have financial freedom and for them to build the life of their dreams.

What drives you as an entrepreneur? Why do you do what you do?

What drives me is to make the best product or service I can possibly create is the struggle of making things work. I love the feeling of getting things accomplished. It makes me feel that I’ve done something positive. I feel that if I’ve been given the opportunity to be born and brought up in the United States, I should take full advantage of it and make a positive change in the world. For me it’s not about the money, it’s about making a life worth living and having people working for me that have a better life than before me.

How do you use Fiverr as a business? What do you use it for? Why do you like working with freelancers?

I use Fiverr for a number of different projects. I use it for ghost writing, creating logos, editing articles, creating websites, creating apps, writing sales copy, creating public relations pieces, design flyers and signs, doing data entry work, creating whiteboard videos, and transcribing audio recordings. I have been using Fiverr since 2011 and it has been amazing. The quality of the people and the time period in which they have to give the deliverables is the reason I keep coming back. The system that has been created by Fiverr it is by far better than any other freelancing website out there.

We were honored to have you as one of our real-life “role” models featured in the In Doers We Trust campaign. How do you feel about being the face of Fiverr?

I LOVE being the face of Fiverr. I was already telling everybody I know about the quality and the value of the platform. It is rare that you can freelancers to get the work done on time and within budget. With Fiverr that is always the case.  In addition, the quotes used in the campaign are the words I have ALWAYS told people.

What was it like to work with Platon?

It was an amazing experience! I have had many professional photographs before, but this was very different.

Platon said that he wanted to get to know me and then so he could photograph it.

He asked me a series of questions and got to know me and he tried to pull out the essence of how I am and then he said “slow it down” so he could photograph it.  Before we even got started to take photographs we started speaking and about Darbar Sahib in Amritsar, the most religious place for the Sikhs, many people incorrectly call it the “Golden temple.”

Before I could say much more he stopped me and says “Isn’t that where so many Sikhs were massacred at the hands of the Indian government?”

I was shocked that he knew so much about the history of the Sikhs.  He really cares about the people who he is photographing and is very thoughtful.  It was an amazing experience, to say the least.

Prabhjit on the street—and the DC Metro!

We’re thrilled to be launching our out of home ads right here in Washington, DC. What do you think makes doers in DC special?

I am soo excited about the ads!  They are absolutely amazing! DC doers don’t make excuses they want to just get it done.  In addition, we really think of the world and giving back. I really believe that is what makes us different.

What advice would you like to give entrepreneurs just setting out on your business journey?

My advice for every entrepreneur just getting started is that they should just do it!  Many think they have to do it exactly correctly in a specific way. That is not true – just start from your cell phone and business cards.  The only person stopping you from your success is yourself.

What advice would you give to first-time buyers on Fiverr?

  1. Make sure you read reviews! You’re not going to agree with every single one, but they are a good indicator if you are on the right track.
  2. Contact them in advance if you have any question that they can do the work you want. That way neither you nor the seller feel disappointed or confused.
  3. Check in regularly after you have given the order. It’s easier to made edits along the way rather than ask for a total revision later.
  4. Look through the item within the 3 day period so you can ask for any changes you may need!

What’s next for the brand? Any goals for 2018?

My goal for my brand is to use social media and my own page to share all the knowledge I know about creating and building a sustainable and extremely successful business.  I am also going to be writing blog posts on the Fiverr website, so stay tuned!
