Daniela, wilddaniela88 on Fiverr®, has an MBA, and along with selling on Fiverr, currently runs a marketing and design company, Bulldog, with her wife. Daniela was born in Bogota, Colombia, and the couple now split their time between Bogota and Los Angeles. Here she is to tell her story, our latest Super Seller!
I first heard about Fiverr as a buyer
I read in books and online that it was a great place to find people who would do amazing logos, writing, and websites for $5. I decided to try it out, and we had our marriage logo made by a Fiverr seller. When we got married in August of 2014, we bought a new house and still had to pay for the wedding. We ended up with a very large debt.
That’s when I decided to try Fiverr as a seller. People had always told me I was very good at finding information online, cheap tickets, articles, etc., so I created a Gig® for awesome web research. I really wasn’t expecting much from a $5 Gig, but three days later I made my first sale, and I gave it my all. The Gig was about “camel rings,” but I couldn’t find any information online, anywhere. So I contacted every veterinarian in the U.S that had something to do with this topic. The client was very happy with the work, and that week, I got a few more clients. The first month I made around $200. Last month, I made $5,000!
Today, all my clients come from referrals from other clients and the exposure I get on Fiverr. I have developed a survey for P&G and translated a video for Coca Cola Mexico. I’ve also worked with a lot of start-ups and companies that want to understand their market. I do a lot of business plans and industry research and reports.
I still buy on Fiverr too. I recently bought video editing from a guy who was featured in the Fiverr newsletter. I had him edit the video of my marriage, so I could give it to my wife as an anniversary gift. The video was filmed by our dog with a GoPro camera strapped on, so it really needed some editing. I also use design and SEO Gigs a lot for my business.

It is amazing how tight this community is. Even sellers who sell the same service encourage new sellers and give advice and tips. Every question you ask is answered by someone.
Doing so many different Gigs has taught me amazing things
It has helped me better understand how businesses work, what the current trends are, and what people are looking to expand in. I have learned about very profitable industries that I never knew existed. It’s been life-changing, like going to college all over again with 20 times more experience and real-life examples. I can’t wait to reach Top Rated Seller and Super Seller status, so I can keep increasing my profits while serving the Fiverr Community and every person who puts their trust in me.
Approximately 60 percent of my income now comes from Fiverr, and I’m so grateful to Fiverr for helping me pay off my debts. My wife and I are two girls, and one of our biggest dreams is to have a baby. This is not cheap or easy, so we need a lot of money. Being able to earn extra money on Fiverr to make this possible has made me very happy, and thanks to Fiverr, we are going to get pregnant in December!
