Paul, known on Fiverr® as Paulskye, is a professional actor and voiceover artist. Committed to the highest professional standards, Paul has grown his Fiverr very quickly. He also happens to be the boyfriend of well-known Fiverr voiceover Super Seller Linneas88, which makes it even more satisfying to congratulate Paul on becoming our latest Super Seller in his own right! Here he is to share his story.
Paul’s Fiverr Journey
Born and bred in Brooklyn, N.Y., I grew up playing ball on the street and I double majored in economics and finance. Now I’m a professional actor in New York City and have been working for five years in film, television, and theatre. I spend every Tuesday and Friday at the esteemed Actors Studio in midtown, where I get to further develop my craft. I also play semi-pro baseball, practice aikido three days a week, and spend time with family.
Voiceover came as a natural progression from acting, and I had been recording voiceover professionally for some time when my girlfriend, Linneas88, introduced me to Fiverr. I finally had a platform to market my talent directly! It took a little while to gain some traction when I first started on the site, but I made sure to be as responsive and helpful as possible. Every order I delivered was sent out as the best possible product I could produce, and soon enough business became pretty smooth.
The Fiverr Community
I buy quite a bit on Fiverr. The community is fantastic, and I love supporting other people’s personal businesses. I have used other Fiverr sellers for video creation, photo editing, logo design, and website advice. The pool of talent in the Fiverr community is really quite amazing, and it’s very inspiring to see so many folks doing what they love.
Advice for Newcomers
I think one of the keys to my success is that I treat every order on Fiverr with the same focus, attention to detail, and creativity as when I’m recording a big budget national project or working on a feature film. I always try to exceed the expectations associated with the highest level of the industry.
The Impact of Fiverr
While I do offer my voiceovers on Fiverr at an extremely discounted rate compared to the industry standard, Fiverr allows me to deliver many projects every day, which gives me an opportunity to stay sharp. I also get to provide a service to people who would otherwise not be able to afford top-quality work. The amazing thing about selling voiceovers on Fiverr is that every order is different and the clients range from huge companies to small mom-and-pop shops from all over the world. My favorite orders are the jobs that are for the everyday person. I have recorded love letters, “I miss you” messages, happy birthdays, and marriage proposals. I really, really enjoy all of that.
